--------------------------------------------------
This little guy used to be black and yellow...but I really wanted him to be blue! So, I got out some of my craft paint and gave him a nice pretty blue coat of paint, and then I shabbied him up a bit to look oh-so-cute like he does now!
I also grabbed up these little sweeties sitting on either side of my newly made topiary (which I will be posting about in detail soon!). I left them as-is because I really liked their simple off-white color. Don't they look sweet sitting on my mantel?!

I scored a few other things at the Dollar Tree as well...okay, actually I grabbed up quite a few of those little birds and will be using them throughout my house. At just $1 a pop they were too hard to resist!

I will warn you...the Dollar Tree can be quite addictive...it's a cheap "fix" tho...
ReplyDeleteMake sure you check out the craft aisle every time you visit, I've scored some great stuff to put away for later, much cheaper than the craft stores!
I love, love, love that blue one! I'm ready for spring. I'm on my way to the dollar store!
ReplyDeleteDon't you just love the Dollar Tree?
ReplyDeleteThose are cute. I just love little birds.
ReplyDeleteMy dollar store has these too. And some roosters and pigs. I'm always so tempted and now I think I'll just go for it because I love your blue one!
ReplyDeletekeeeeeute! i LOVE YOUR LITTLE BIRDIES! So dang creative you are!!!

Debbie
I have the same birdie! There was only one other one left on the shelf and he had a broken tail. :-( Maybe more will fly into the store soon...lol. I love the little topiary on your mantle..did you make that? Cuteness!

The dollar store is the best. Great finds!
ReplyDeleteI love the blue bird! It was the perfect touch. I too, love birds. My bathroom has colorful pictures of parrots and half of my flamingo collection. I must be a "bird Brain". lol. Thanks for visiting junkblossoms. I love company, don't you? Blessings, Pat.
ReplyDeleteI got those two little white birds, too, Grace! I'm also leaving them as is; I think they are perfect the color they are.
ReplyDeleteThey look perfect in blue. I saw similar birds at my dollar store, but I resited. Why?
ReplyDeletePS

Love the birdies of course! And the Dollar Tree has definitely become one of my faves. I think it's the best of all the dollar stores, and the one close to me (which is really close) isn't one of the ones that makes you feel like you could get thugged at...it's actually in a decent part of town and is quite safe. :)
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see how you made that topiary...it's really sweet!
Hugs,
Gail
Ooooh, I am digging on that topiary!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the lovely photos. I have much inspiration now!
I love the birdies and the dollar store.
ReplyDeleteI made two topairies this weekend and I swear they look a lot like yours. I'll be posting those soon as well.
