After reading about so many bloggers infatuation with all things Pottery Barn, I finally decided to check them out...for some reason I had held off until just this past week...and I'm not sure exactly why...perhaps because I knew that PB was a bit too expensive for my current budget...perhaps because I didn't want to just join the crowd...in the end though it was inevitable, and when I fell for PB, I fell hard! I am in {LoVe}!
I had their catalog sent to me, and being the Pottery Barn virgin that I was, I didn't even glance at the cover until I was ready to soak it all in. On a sunny afternoon a few days ago, I sat out in my front yard, enjoying a picnic lunch with my son, and as he played in the yard I soaked up some rays and some Pottery Barn! There is so much to gain from browsing through the beautiful photos in the catalog...and online...and I had the best time looking through everything, and now I know what all the hype is about! I still won't be able to afford their stuff, but I can have fun creating some of the PB look with the budget that I do have!
Here are some of the photos of some of the Pottery Barn items that I really love...click on individual photos to be directed to their website for more product info.
Aren't these lovely?! Vintage found canning jars...I would love some of these...but I will have to find my own!
I love all the storage on this media wall...though with a toddler I think that I would have to keep the scissors out of reach!
I just love this collector's shadow box...and it would be very easy to create on my own too I think! Something to keep in the idea files!
I just like the look of this photo...the lovely framed black and white prints, the soothing blue wall, the bench with the storage baskets underneath...I {LoVe} baskets and have tons scattered around my home holding various necessities.
These beachcomber baskets are beautiful! Would {LoVe} some of these...I have some similar ones that I found at Joann's...and I must admit the price tag @ J's is a little more my style!
And, lastly, these rustic wooden risers with the nests snuggled sweetly under the cloches. Beautiful! This look could fit right in on my front porch. Lovely!
So, y'all, there you go. I am a Pottery Barn virgin no longer! ;)

I do like Pottery Barn but I think it's overpriced for the quality. I like to look at the catalogs for decorating ideas though.
ReplyDeleteSeveral months ago I caught onto the PB fascination also. I immediately had their catalog sent to me and now I just like looking through the pages for inspiration for how to "copy" the look! Do you get all the catalogs, or only the one for the home? They have PB Kids that I get that has great ideas for decorating kids' rooms. Just saying...
ReplyDeleteLove,
Gail
Welcome to the club! Beautiful pages but Jess is right - so pricey. I choose wisely when I shop PB. Luckily I have an outlet about an hour from where I live and I'm headed there tomorrow. YAY!
ReplyDeleteUse it as your inspiration! I've never been in a Pottery Barn, but have seen many things the gals on blogs have gotten and understand the "*LOVE*" ;0) Judi
ReplyDeleteJust like with designer clothes, it is all over priced. You are paying for the name, not the product. It's fun to look through such catologs for inspiration but with some purposeful thrifting and ingenuity, you can create the same look for a fraction of the cost. I know you've got what it takes to do just that. Have fun! Many blessings, Tammy
ReplyDeleteI love the baskets and the shadowbox! I'll have to make one of my own :)
ReplyDeleteLove the photo with all the pictures and baskets too. Gorgeous !
ReplyDeleteYay!!! So glad you came over to the PB side!!! I have been in LOVE with PB forever!!! ....Yes it is a bit overpriced but my experience is I think the quality is great!....Everything I own from PB was purchased on sale or new on Ebay......I also own 2 bedding sets ( one for Ava and one for our bed) that are both PB....these were bought at Goodwill....and were still in great condition!....But if anything else the magazines are a great source of inspiration. PB kids is great too....but what little kids room looks like that!!!
ReplyDeleteI lovin every piece of eye candy you have posted! I so want the wooden risers in the last pic {they have been in my to do file since they have been posted} Thanks for the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteLove PB stuff but don't shop there cause they are soooo overprices. Not in my budget and I am too cheap! Ha!. But I do love that entertainment center!!!!!
